beware

I puchased a new 2012 ultra 300x and have just a few things to say about it after my Summer run.. First of all I would like to say that overall it is a good machine. It comes up out of the water like a rocket. If you don't hold on you are going off the back. No problem pulling one or two skiers or p... ulling the largest of tubes. Plenty of power and fun to drive. It turns on a dime and handles great at fast speeds. That said, it has a few problems. The biggest is the fact that it DOES NOT sit even in the water. It leans to the left and if you turn at slow speed to the left it feels as if you are going to tip over. I have not tipped it over but if I did not adjust, in the seat, for the turn I believe that it would. Your left foot is always wet at slow speeds cause the water comes up over the running boards. The manufacture knows of this problem but they will not do anything about it. Even when you are going in higher speeds it still leans to the left. It is one of the fastest from a dead start but the top end speed (at least mine)is about 64mph. Plenty fast but if you thought it was 70, it is not.. If I would have known about the lean to the left before I bought the machine, I would NOT have bought it. SO ?? Buyer beware. It is a fun jet ski but it DOES have a problem that NEEDS to be fixed and I am not the only person that has had this problem. They do know about it.. One other thing, it is EXTREMELY hard on gas. The big tank is much needed cause you go through fuel quickly depending on how hard you run it. Good luck. Read Full Review

Great ride and handling.

I got a chance to ride this wild ski. Super fast, and excellent handling. Wont turn on a dime like my Honda R12X turbo but way faster. Love the fact it cuts the rough water and rides like a Caddy. However, it sucks down some gas fast. I rode them all the only other ski I would get is the seadoo i260... . Just wondering how they will handle after a few years of riding. Read Full Review
